This page contains guides for new Touch groups to help them develop their game.

Many touch groups start out just throwing the ball around and having fun, and that's great. The most important thing is that everyone is enjoying themselves. However, competitive touch is a more complex and nuanced sport that requires certain tactics to help teams compete at higher levels.

At the moment, this website only caters for BASIC touch tactics in an attempt to keep it simple, and help out the new touch groups in North Wales understand the game and get them up to a level where they are able to enter touch competitions.

Touch Basics

Basic individual skills required to play touch. The touch tactics outlined here will not work unless these basics are mastered.

Defence

It's no good scoring if you are unable to stop the opposition doing the same! Some basic defensive strategies.

Driving

Driving is the method of gaining attacking momentum and moving quickly upfield towards the opposition scoreline.

Line Attack

When you reach the opposition scoreline, you need to know how to beat the defence to score.
